The Golf Course is situated in the heart of the Wreake Valley with the River Wreake meandering through a number of the holes. The course is rapidly maturing into a fine parkland layout and offers a test to all standards of player. The course is maintained to a very high standard by Head Greenkeeper, Tim Needham, and his staff. Beedles Lake really is an all year round course with proper tees and greens used at all times. Lingdale nestles in the picturesque surroundings of Charnwood Forest in the heart of the North West Leicestershire countryside. Visitors and members are treated to a golf course which challenges golfers of all abilities, spectacular views and a variety of wild life on show including pheasants, moor hens, buzzards and on occasion muntjack deer.
Situated in Rutland, England’s smallest County, Rutland County Golf Club has a deserved reputation for it’s warm and friendly atmosphere. The Course was designed by Golf Course Architect Cameron Sinclair and in the words of Bobby Jones: ‘Offering problems a man may attempt according to his ability – never hopeless for the lesser player, nor failing to concern and interest the expert.’ The inland links-style (18-hole) Course, is highly regarded by all who play here. In addition to a Par 3 Course, the Club also provides a full range of practice and training facilities.
The newly finished 18 Hole Championship course with is breathtaking views over Rutland Water has to be on of the countries finest New Golf Courses – with a yardage of 6816 off the whites and challenging undulating greens it is a good test of skill for the lowest handicapper but remains a friendly pay and play course with a pleasant atmosphere.
Six Hills Golf Club was founded in 1986 and is a popular public pay and play course. Unlike many municipal courses, it is remarkably well maintained and is in excellent condition almost all year round thanks to its dedicated team of greenkeepers. It measures quite a fair distance stretching for 5758 yards over eighteen unique holes. The course is further complemented by the 12 bay driving range which is on site for you to practice your swing before you tee off, and also the fine bar and restaurant which is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a nice meal and cold drink after your round.
